Savory Meatballs

These tasty meatballs are easy to make and will have your guests smacking their lips (and asking for the recipe).

Ingredients

1 ½ lbs ground beef
½ cup milk
1 egg
½ cup chopped onions
1 egg
½ cup chopped onions
½ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp chili powder
¾ tsp salt

Combine all ingredients, shape into small meatballs and place into baking dish. Next make the savory sauce.

Savory Sauce

In a sauce pan combine:

1 cup ketchup
1 cup loose brown sugar
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
¾ tsp garlic  

Simmer sauce until hot and all sugar has dissolved.

Pour sauce over meatballs.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 20-24 meatballs. For 40-48, double the recipe.
